Designs for a New American Flag: New Work by Scott Reynolds

From July 17th through August 8th 2010, BCB ART will present DESIGNS FOR A NEW AMERICAN FLAG new work by SCOTT REYNOLDS.

Using historical references and subtle, humorous, graphic symbols Scott Reynolds examines America’s current political, economic and cultural wars in his latest drawings.  He employs an economical and iconographic language along with ideas of social commentary (similar to those found in his sculpture) to explore the fragmented conditions that substitute for a current American ethos.

A reception for the Artist will be held at the gallery on Saturday July 17th from 6-8 pm.

Also on display will be a group exhibit of gallery Artists, including works by Ching Ho Cheng, Eric Fischl, John Foxx, Phyllis Hjhorth, Lynn itzkowitz, Martha Lloyd, Jef Bourgeau – and others.
