Landscapes and their Many Moods, new paintings by Sasha Chermayeff

From November 3 through December 23, 2012 BCB ART will present Landscapes and their many moods, new paintings by SASHA CHERMAYEFF.

Oscar Wilde wrote “Beauty has as many meanings as man has moods. Beauty is the symbol of symbols. Beauty reveals everything because it expresses nothing.” These words, in a way, capture the essence of Sasha Chermayeff’s new paintings. Lush, expressive, and personal, her depictions of an ever-changing landscape show us just how meaningful a small piece of this world can be.

In Sasha’s paintings, rivers rise and ebb and cloud patterns change in an instant, giving them a sense of urgency and making viewers wish that we could have stood by the artist to watch these performances with each painting’s creation.

A reception for the artist will be held at the gallery on Saturday November 3, 2012 from 6-8 pm. Also on display will be a selection of photographs by Jef Bourgeau and John Foxx.
