The Geometry of Time: New work by Jef Bourgeau and The Pleasure of Being Absent: New Work by Jim Goss

From May 8th through June 6, 2010 BCB ART will present The Geometry of Time, and the pleasure of being absent, new work by JIM GOSS.

Jef Bourgeau (above, left) creates lush, layered computer generated abstractions- either on paper or canvas, all with kinetic futuristic movement. In his spare time Jef is also the founder and director of the Detroit MONA- The Museum of New Art.

Jim Goss’s (above, right) paintings are meticulous panels- based on a human physical presence- which at first glance appear minimal but build and build- to a world of parody, playful tension and interaction.

Also on display will be a group exhibition of gallery artists — including work by Rodney Alan Greenblat, Liz Ainslie, Garth Evans, Erik Hansen, Marco Badot, Eric Rhein, Elaine Langerman, Ching Ho Cheng, John Foxx and others.

An opening reception for the artists will be held at the gallery on Saturday May 8th from 6-8 pm.
